The Magnum was really popular with folks inside Chrysler, supposedly the only reason it died was that Brampton didn’t have enough capacity to handle it, after the Challenger was added to the line.

However, with Charger and 300 sales not where they used to be, I have to think there’d be room now. They should do that, and bring back the LWB version of the 300, because that car is kind of pathetically small for what’s supposed to be a full-size flagship.

I believe Sterling Heights and Belvidere have both been earmarked for new crossover models, so opening a second LX production line in one of those plants isn’t going to happen.

Just looked it up and Cadillac only sold 7,000 CTS wagons over 4 years.

It’s actually quite bad. A 25% drop in sales between 2k6 and 2k7 is probably what killed the car. 7k cars in 4 years? No wonder no one wants to make wagons anymore in the US.

I think I have seen one of those 3 Cross fires sold a the end in Canada. It was parked at Brampton Assembly. In the plant Manager’s garage.

Considering Crossfire production ended in 2007, those 3 where hanging around for a long time. I wouldn’t be surprised.

I recall a program manager saying that the top tiers were getting them forced on them at the time. I saw a few that were manager level vehicles too. And I don’t remember the actual year, but it was near the end. They were likely making the Magnum and hadn’t started the Challenger.
